How to install Windows 7 x86 on Oracle VirtualBox

Most modern computers have moved on to operating system x64 bit. In technical Universities often have to install older programs that run only on x86, weigh a lot, set voracious services and simply spam the system. To be able to quickly remove or install unnecessary and heavy (or paid) programs, it is best to use a virtual windows 7 x86. With this instructions you can install other operating systems, including linux family.



Instruction



Difficulty level: Easy



What you will need:



Installer Oracle VM VirtualBox



Computer



Image Windows 7 x86



step 1



Download, install and run Oracle VM VirtualBox.



In the upper left corner click on the blue button labeled "Create".



2 step



Enter the system name (if the name will be the keywords (for example win 7) then the system chooses the type and version).



Select type: Microsoft Windows .



Version: Windows 7.



3 step



To specify the amount of system memory (GB would be enough).



To create a new virtual hard disk



Choose format vdi



Type dynamic(so that you can increase the size in the future)



volume 15 GB or more.

In the section "Media" mount image win 7 in a virtual drive.



Create usb filter and enter the shared folders as desired.



To close the settings window.



5 step



Green arrow (top left) to start the virtual machine.



When the logo appears, Virtual box, press F12 on the keyboard.



When the black window, click on the keyboard.



6 step



Downloaded the windows 7 installation.



Follow the installation wizard, selecting the language and region partitioning, installation will begin.



7 step



After installation, run windows 7, the system is ready for operation.



Don't forget to install guest Additions (via the Device menu, or by a combination of host+d)



8 step



At the next start F12 and do not press.
